WARRINGTON attracts many visitors from far and wide – even the stars.
Whether that be with its delicious restaurants, lively bars, or its beauty spots.
A couple of venues and locations in particular have even become hotspots for celebrities.
Here’s some of them:
Back in 2021, Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs stopped by Palmyra Square for a bite to eat.
The football icon visited San Lorenzo.
At the time, the team shared a post on Facebook which read: "When Ryan Giggs comes for dinner and you’re a life long Manchester United fan.
“Hope he enjoyed his Cicchetti in Charlie’s Bar."
Giggs isn’t the only star to visit San Lorenzo.
Former soap star Kym Marsh visited the cultural quarter spot with 35 friends and family members back in 2019 to celebrate her 43rd birthday.
Although she is no stranger to Warrington having lived in the town a number of years.
The Italian restaurant even featured in Okay Magazine after hosting the special celebration.
And Pete Waterman, who is best known for launching the careers of music icons like Rick Astley and Kylie, has also paid a visit to Charlie’s Bar at San Lorenzo’s.
Some of the team were pictured on an Instagram and Facebook post with the 75-year-old at San Lorenzo Italian on Palmyra Square.
The producer is a well known face in Warrington living down the road in Whitley and presenting the Hit Man and Her at Mr Smith's in the 1980s.
Happy Mondays legend Bez visited a popular town centre cocktail bar in May of this year.
Dead Eyes Cocktail Bar and Street Food played host to the music legend following his DJ set in the old marketplace.
He was joined by Clint Boon.
Professional boxer Tommy Fury often visits a number of locations in Warrington.
In particular, he has visited Liberty’s Gin Bar in Culcheth a number of times.
And he has also been known to frequent Savannah 19 in the village.
Molly-Mae Hague often visits Warrington alongside her now fiancé Tommy Fury.
Back in December, she visited Bents Garden and Home for a bite to eat and spot of Christmas shopping.
As well as enjoying a tasty crepe, the social media influencer and former Love Island star left with a trolly full.
The couple also visited the family-run Kenyon Hall Farm in April.
They visited both the farm shop and café in Croft.
At the time of their visit, owner James Bulmer told the Warrington Guardian: “We loved welcoming Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury for a visit to the farm today.
“There was a real buzz around the place, especially from the younger members of our team.
“It’s fantastic that such well-known celebrities choose to shop locally with us and other small businesses in Warrington.”
Another eatery to attract stars is The Cottage.
Comic Roy Chubby Brown visited the Indian restaurant in April of this year.
He paid a visit ahead of his visit to the Brindley Threatre in Runcorn.
Athelis Club and Spa in Westbrook has been known to play host to a number of celebrities.
Former Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae visited the spa back in 2021.
They shared their visit on their Instagram stories.
Molly-Mae has also visited on other occasions with Tommy.
