A BODY was sadly found close to a main road in Warrington on Wednesday evening.
A large emergency service presence was reported in the Manchester Road and Juniper Lane area of Woolston at around 8am.
This presence was also visible the following morning in the vicinity, close to junction 21 of the M6 and the River Mersey.
At present, Cheshire Police says that while the death of the man, believed to be in his 40s, is not believed to be suspicious, it is being treated as unexplained.
A spokesman said: “At around 8pm on Wednesday, August 3, police received a report of a body found near Juniper Lane, in the Woolston area of Warrington.
“Officers attended the scene and sadly found the body of a man, believe to be in his 40s.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious, but is being treated as unexplained at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.”
