PROMISING giant adventures for families with children aged two to 13, Gulliver’s World is the perfect place to spend a day out this summer.

The Old Hall theme park has just scooped the latest award in our Best of 2022 competition - Best for Kids 2022 and there is an action-packed line-up of events scheduled to keep little ones entertained over the school holidays.

Since its launch at the end of April, the Best of 2022 competition has named winners in 14 different categories.

Top honours for hair, nails, beauty, fitness and independent shop have been given out as well as those for fish and chips, pies, pubs, beer garden, breakfast, afternoon tea, roast dinner, pizza already decided.

Voting is currently taking place in the latest round of the competition with the award for Best Burger 2022 up for grabs, and voting closes at midnight on Monday, August 8.

Next up we were searching for the town’s best place for children this summer and Gulliver’s World was the top pick.

The 100-acre theme park opened in 1989 with the hotel opening in 2012 and it caters for young children up to teenagers with attractions, family events and more than 30 rides across six themed areas.

Visitors can enjoy The Lost World, Lilliput Land and Smuggler’s Wharf with something to suit all ages and all thrill levels.

CBeebies favourites Bing and Flop will be making guest appearances throughout the summer at selected times until Sunday, September 4.

Gully’s Wild Wild Western Show is a new interactive show with Gully Mouse featuring country and western songs for the whole family to join in with and the park’s colourful dancers will be performing in the Festival of Life Show in Safari Kingdom.

Younger guests can learn how to become a prince or a princess at Lilliput Castle or hear about Doug the dinosaur.
