NOT many four-year-olds can say they’ve got an award-winning business named after them.
But Louie Glover’s dad and uncle run Louie’s Pizza inside Warrington Market and the talented twosome have just scooped the award for Best Pizza 2022.
Former St Gregory’s High School pupils Tom and James Glover own the latest business to take one of our Best of 2022 crowns where, each week, we focus on different categories to find the best that Warrington has to offer.
Awards for hair, nails, beauty, fitness and independent shop have been given out as well as those for fish and chips, pies, pubs, breakfast, afternoon tea and roast dinner already decided.
Voting is currently taking place in the latest round of the competition with the award for Best Beer Garden up for grabs with a closing date of midnight on Monday.
Next up we were searching for the town’s best pizza and Louie’s Pizza came out on top.
Louie’s Pizza opened in the old Warrington Market in November 2019 before moving to the new venue and customers love what brothers Tom and James have on offer.
Recommendations for the company said they make “the best pizza there is” and it is “by far the best in town” and others liked their ‘make your own pizza night’ every Thursday where children can pop along and make their own creation from scratch.
The New York Italian-style pizzeria has become hugely popular with pizza lovers given the option of ordering 12-inch or 18-inch pizzas to eat in or takeaway.
Tom, who is 31 and lives in Great Sankey, said: “We only use the best ingredients from a great Italian food supplier and our tomato sauce and dough are homemade.
“The meat feast is always a popular pizza and customers also like the spicier Godfather.
“We have a great relationship with our customers and it means a lot to us and our staff that they’ve voted for us to win this award.
“It definitely makes it all worthwhile.”
Tom and James will be launching a new menu next week, keeping some of the old favourites but adding some new specials.
