MARIA and Savva Mylona are no stranger to winning awards for their food, so it’s not surprising that they can now say that they serve the best fish and chips in Warrington.

Fish Net in Latchford scooped the Best Fish and Chips Award 2022 beating off some tough competition for the other shortlisted venues.

The shop, on Thelwall Lane, is the latest winner in our in our Best of competition, with previous champions Ashleigh Hair and Beauty, To Pie For and The Pink Room as well as The Seven Woods and The Female Fitness Academy all taking top spot in their respective categories.

Nominations for Fish Net said the “staff are fab” and recommendations on their Facebook page highlight their gluton free menu with one satisfied customer saying “it’s the best I’ve ever had”.

Savva said: “We’re delighted to win this award as it tells us that we must be doing something right, especially in the current climate with prices rising so quickly.

“We know we serve the best quality food – it may not be the cheapest but we know it’s the best we can provide for our customers.

“We are so grateful to our loyal customers who have voted for us to win this award and we couldn’t do it without them.”

He added: “We are beyond delighted as it is in recognition of the hard work we have put into making our business a thriving success over the past four years.”

The couple have had restaurants and takeaway venues in Widnes and Manchester before moving to Warrington.

As well as their award-winning fish and chips Maria and Savva and their dedicated team offer traditional Greek gyros, kebabs and burgers, which are always popular.

They’re open six days a week – Monday to Saturday – and closed on Sundays.
