MOTORISTS are facing lengthy delays on the motorway network in Warrington this afternoon, Saturday.
Three lanes are closed on the M62 eastbound between junction 10 for Croft and junction 11 for Birchwood due to a car fire.
The fire has been extinguished, however the vehicle is awaiting recovery and an oil spillage on the road needs to be cleared.
Traffic officers and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance.
Highways England says the incident is causing at least 30-minute delays on the M62 eastbound, with approximately two miles of slow traffic.
It is also affecting traffic from the M6, both northbound and southbound, attempting to join the M62 eastbound at junction 21.
