THIS dramatic picture shows a car engulfed with flames on the M6 near Warrington this afternoon, Wednesday.
A full closure was in place southbound between junction 21a at Croft and junction 21 for Woolston.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
All lanes had reopened by 3.45pm.
North West Motorway Police confirmed that the driver suffered no injuries.
