ALL lanes have reopened and traffic is easing following a vehicle fire on the M62 this afternoon, Monday.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway in the roadworks area between junction 12 for the Eccles Interchange and junction 11 for Birchwood.
Traffic was briefly held at around 11.50am after a separate accident happened in the lanes passing the vehicle fire.

This incident was moved into the closed lanes, but a full closure of the carriageway was again imposed to allow fire crews to bring the blaze under control.
This has since been lifted, with the one lane which remained closed now reopen after the affected vehicle was recovered.
Firefighters from Cheshire and Greater Manchester fire and rescue services attended the scene, as did Highways England traffic officers to assist.
Earlier this morning, there were two separate accidents on either side of the carriageway between the same junctions.
