A BUS has been destroyed after it set on fire in Daresbury last night, Sunday.
At 10.45pm fire crews from Warrington and Runcorn were called to a fire on the Eastern Expressway.
On arrival they discovered a bus on fire which was well alight.
Haden Jones captured the dramatic video footage.
He said: "I was driving up and as we came to the lights at the Daresbury Labs, we saw the bus on fire from the back by the engine.
"At 10.42pm I rang the fire service to attend from Runcorn and Warrington as it was flaming quicker and glass was smashing all over the bus and deteriorating."
All of the occupants had exited the vehicle and there were no reports of any injuries.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used three hose reels to extinguish the fire.
They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
Crews were in attendance for approximately 55 minutes.
