A MAN has died after suffering a medical episode behind the wheel.
Emergency services rushed to the Cross in Lymm at around midday today, Monday, after receiving reports of a car blocking the road.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and discovered that a man had become unwell.
He was rushed to hospital, but died this afternoon.
It is understood that he suffered a heart attack while inside his vehicle, near to the junction with Eagle Brow.
The man’s next of kin have been informed.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "At around 12pm on Monday, March 16, officers were called to reports of a car blocking the road.
"Emergency services attended the scene and found that a man had become unwell.
"He was taken to hospital by paramedics but sadly passed away.
"His next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
