The queues on the M62
A CAR fire on the M62 eastbound in Warrington is causing travel disruption this afternoon, Friday.
All lanes have since re-opened and traffic is slowly easing.
The incident, which involved a silver Ford Mondeo, happened on the hard shoulder between J10 for the M6 at Croft Interchange and J11, the A574 Birchwood Way.
The car is said to have overheated and smoke was visible from the engine.
Firefighters from Birchwood attended the scene as well as a pump from Greater Manchester to make the vehicle safe.
