THERE were long delays on the M6 in Warrington this morning, Wednesday, after a car fire near the Lymm interchange.
The fire service were called around 7.30am to the southbound carriageway where they found a vehicle on fire.
Traffic was stretching back to junction 23 at Haydock and the northbound carriageway was also slow as people slowed to look.
The fire was put out at about 7.45am and the motorway fully reopened around 9.30am.
