Car fire on Manchester Road
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a car being on fire on Manchester Road yesterday, Tuesday.
On arrival, at around 5pm, the crew found a fire in the engine compartment of a saloon car which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
One fire engine from Warrington attended and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The crew were in attendance for around half an hour.
