NETWORK Warrington is set to operate a new service to and from Wigan.
The bus operator has won a contract from Transport for Greater Manchester to run the 360 service on evenings and Sundays.
Operating from 8pm from Monday to Saturday and all day after 11am on Sundays, the 360 service will link with the existing 22 bus to Newton-le-Willows from April.
Ben Wakerley, managing director of Network Warrington, said: “We’re delighted to bring a new angle to our network by introducing the 360 service.
“We’re always working hard as a team to make improvements throughout our network – such as the Dallam Discount, Pops frequency increase, high frequency hospital route and the Cheshire Cat – and I’m pleased that we can support passengers from further afield to come to and from Warrington.
“We’re committed to ensuring Warrington continues to be a great place to work and visit, and by opening the doors to customers in other towns we’re hoping to better connect the north west to our town.”
