LANES were closed on the M62 this afternoon after a lorry caught fire.
Two lanes of the westbound carriageway between junction nine at Winwick and junction 10 at Birchwood were shut after the HGV became alight.
Motorists were warned that traffic in the area was very slow, while visibility was also impaired on the M62 in both directions.
All lanes have now reopened, with visibility having returned to normal.
Traffic is also easing.
