TWO men attempted to abduct a 35-year-old woman as she was walking along a street in Orford on Saturday.
The incident happened as the woman was passing Hallfields Road towards Orford Green at around 12.20am.
Officers said the victim noticed one man exit Orford Park and approach a car parked further up the road.
As she crossed to the other side of the road she passed the parked car and a second man got out of the driver's side and offered the victim a lift home.
She kindly declined and continued on her way but the second man grabbed her arm, which caused her to fall to the floor, and dragged her backwards towards his vehicle.
Shortly after, a passer-by in a car stopped and asked the woman if she was 'okay' before she got to her feet and ran away.
The first man is believed to of a slim build, around 5ft 11ins and wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up over his head.
The second man is believed to be in his 30s, with dark skin, around 5ft 8ins, average build, clean shaven with short black wet hair and wearing a black leather jacket.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to the passer-by who stopped and spoke to the victim and one of the men, as well as anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time of the offence.
Anyone with information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 321 of November 21, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
