THE M6 at Thelwall Viaduct was closed between junctions 21 and 20 southbound after a Warburtons lorry caught fire this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene to put out the blaze and make the area safe.
Lanes started to reopen from around 2.15pm to clear 'trapped traffic' from Woolston to Lymm interchange.
