PROPOSALS for a town centre cinema and the new market development are set to come before planning chiefs in a Town Hall meeting next week.
The major development looks set to bring a cinema and market hall plus restaurants and shops to the heart of the town centre.
And council planning chiefs have been recommended to approve the scheme at a development management committee meeting which will take place at the Town Hall on Wednesday April 27.
The current market hall and car park will be demolished to make way for a Cineworld Superscreen, a new market incorporating the façade of the former Boots building on Bridge Street and a public square.
