AN extra special star is set to appear in a charity football match between Warrington Town and soap team, Emmerdale Farm.

Luke Roskell, who plays Sean Spencer in the ITV One show, will turn out for Emmerdale in the match in May, But it will be extra special for the 16-year-old.

Because as a former Bridgewater High School pupil in Appleton, he will be lining up against his home town club.

Luke, who has been in the soap for nearly two years as a member of the ‘rowdy; Spencer family, confesses to be an Everton fanatic and is looking forward to taking on his home town club.

He said: "It would be great to say I have played against Warrington Town and say I'd won.”

Meanwhile he is ‘loving every minute’ of his role in Emmerdale after embarking on an acting career at the age of six when he started drama school in Manchester.

He added: "Acting is something I had always wanted to do.”

Luke is having to juggle his acting career with his school studies which include GCSE Drama and a BTEC in Performing Arts.

The match between a Warrington Town XI and the Emmerdale XI takes place on Sunday, May 19 at 3pm at the club’s Cantilever Park home.

Proceeds from the game will go to the club's community development programme and St Rocco's Hospice.
